House Teams

---

At Waipipi School, our house spirit is a vibrant and beloved part of our school culture. Our four House Groups are named after beautiful native birds found right here in our local environment:

• Piiwakawaka
• Kereruu
• Tuuii
• Kororaa

Each house is guided by student House Leaders, who are elected by their peers and staff at the end of each year.

At Waipipi, we teach our students that leadership is a privilege that goes far beyond wearing a badge. While it opens up wonderful opportunities to guide, speak, and inspire, true leadership requires genuine commitment and sacrifice. We support our leaders to understand that leading means putting others first, showing high accountability, and giving up their own time to serve and support our younger tamariki. Through this, our seniors build the character and resilience needed to become positive, active contributors to the wider world.
