We know that school works best when home and school work together. Parents are warmly encouraged to get involved — whether it’s helping on a class trip, flipping sausages at a fundraiser, or cheering on the sidelines at sports day.
Our Friends of the School Group meets each term and is a great way to connect with other families and contribute to the fun side of school life.
Calf Club Day is an annual long-standing rural tradition at Waipipi School. All students participate, either by rearing a farm animal (calf, lamb, goat, or chicken) or by completing a home-growing and design project. To ensure every student can take part, local farm partnerships help source animals, and our school-based "Lamb Kindy" assists families with early bottle-feedings.
On the day, our classrooms open to the community to showcase student art and natural exhibits. Supported by raffles, local business sponsors, Calf Club is a hands-on way our students practice everyday responsibility while celebrating our school’s rural heritage.
